Comfortable and spacious village house situated in the centre of the market village of Montcuq which is delightful, with restaurants, a leisure lake, …
…tennis courts and local shops. Montcuq was a former medieval stronghold, with it’s castle tower dominating over the village. It was occupied by English armies in the 100 years war. It is ideally placed for exploring the area’s picturesque villages and medieval bastide towns, its beautiful chateaux and the Cahors vineyards.
The house has a large sitting room, a kitchen and dining room combined, and a second kitchen on a lower floor, which leads into another dining area and an outside terrace. Both kitchens are well equipped, with hob, electric oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave in the second kitchen. There is a WC on the ground floor.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms with double beds, and there are two single beds available on an upper gallery. One bedroom has a private shower and basin, and on the landing there is a communal bathroom and a separate WC. Linen is included but please bring your swimming pool towels. WiFi is available at the house but neither Kingfisher or the owner are liable for any loss or interruption ( such as storms etc) of internet service.
The terrace overlooks the large garden and swimming pool (there is a steep drop behind the pool). There is a BBQ and table tennis.
This is a splendid house for people who do not wish to drive late at night. To the front of the property you are in the village, whilst at the back there is a view over village gardens and beyond to pretty countryside.
