Stylish barn conversion, set in beautiful rolling countryside provides guests with privacy, tranquillity, comfort and stunning views. The property is situated mid way between the sleepy village of Lacour de Visa and the appropriately named “Beauville”…
…with its restaurants, cafe, bakery and shop. There is a popular “Marche Gourmand” on Friday evenings in the pretty square of Beauville and at Montaigu de Quercy, less than 15 minutes drive, is a leisure lake with sandy beaches, waterslides, paddle boats and canoes for hire.
There are tennis courts at the lake and public courts in the town, where there is also a Saturday morning market. The lovely countryside is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding.
A steep country lane leads down to a parking area next to the house, from which a wide, gently sloping, paved path guides visitors to a covered terrace. There is a step up into the extremely well equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob and griddle, microwave and American fridge/freezer dispensing ice and chilled water. In the centre is a large island with granite work top; to one side a table seats 6 and between there is a wood burner .
At the rear of the kitchen, a utility room leads into a shower room with WC, wash hand basin and walk in shower. The dining area with large oak table and 8 chairs, is a step down from the kitchen and is separated by a low stone wall from a seating area which is furnished with comfortable leather couches facing a stone fireplace and TV (with English Freesat).
Internal french doors open into another spacious living area with pool table, sofas and an additional fridge/freezer. There is a sofa bed available in this room, enabling those with reduced mobility to enjoy the facilities that this gorgeous property offers.
A dining terrace with tables, chairs and BBQ is accessed directly through sliding doors from this room and continues directly to the terrace surrounding the 11m x 5m swimming pool which has wide internal steps.
The stunning views over the valley can be fully appreciated from these terraces.
The 4 bedrooms and bathroom with wash hand basin, shower and toilet are off a corridor accessed by wide steps down from the living area. There is one twin bedded room and 3 double bedded rooms.
One of the double bedded rooms has an en-suite shower room with toilet and wash hand basin and another is furnished with a water bed. All the bedrooms have views over the garden and countryside beyond.
Guests are invited to pick the fruit from the trees. A door at one end of this corridor leads out to the poolside of the house and one, at the other end, down steps, to a room containing the washing machine and dryer.
Linen is included. There is no house phone so please bring your mobiles but Internet Wi-Fi is available at the house but neither Kingfisher or the owner are liable for any loss or interruption ( such as storms etc) of internet service.
