…with its restaurants, cafe, bakery and shop. There is a popular “Marche Gourmand” on Friday evenings in the pretty square of Beauville and at Montaigu de Quercy, less than 15 minutes drive, is a leisure lake with sandy beaches, waterslides, paddle boats and canoes for hire.
There are tennis courts at the lake and public courts in the town, where there is also a Saturday morning market. The lovely countryside is ideal for walking, cycling, fishing and horse riding.
A steep country lane leads down to a parking area next to the house, from which a wide, gently sloping, paved path guides visitors to a covered terrace. There is a step up into the extremely well equipped kitchen with electric oven, gas hob and griddle, microwave and American fridge/freezer dispensing ice and chilled water. In the centre is a large island with granite work top; to one side a table seats 6 and between there is a wood burner .
At the rear of the kitchen, a utility room leads into a shower room with WC, wash hand basin and walk in shower. The dining area with large oak table and 8 chairs, is a step down from the kitchen and is separated by a low stone wall from a seating area which is furnished with comfortable leather couches facing a stone fireplace and TV (with English Freesat).
Internal french doors open into another spacious living area with pool table, sofas and an additional fridge/freezer. There is a sofa bed available in this room, enabling those with reduced mobility to enjoy the facilities that this gorgeous property offers.
A dining terrace with tables, chairs and BBQ is accessed directly through sliding doors from this room and continues directly to the terrace surrounding the 11m x 5m swimming pool which has wide internal steps.
The stunning views over the valley can be fully appreciated from these terraces.
The 4 bedrooms and bathroom with wash hand basin, shower and toilet are off a corridor accessed by wide steps down from the living area. There is one twin bedded room and 3 double bedded rooms.
One of the double bedded rooms has an en-suite shower room with toilet and wash hand basin and another is furnished with a water bed. All the bedrooms have views over the garden and countryside beyond.
Guests are invited to pick the fruit from the trees. A door at one end of this corridor leads out to the poolside of the house and one, at the other end, down steps, to a room containing the washing machine and dryer.
Linen is included. There is no house phone so please bring your mobiles but Internet Wi-Fi is available at the house but neither Kingfisher or the owner are liable for any loss or interruption ( such as storms etc) of internet service.
