The cottage is situated within walking distance to a boulangerie, a café/restaurant and small supermarket. A short stroll away is a large leisure lake for swimming and fishing, during the Peak season the lakeside bistro is open. The small village is surrounded by the countryside for walks all around, even accessible from the wooded grounds at the back of the property.
The owners, who live next door, have transformed this once derelict building into a very comfortable stylish 2 bedroomed cottage with en-suite shower rooms and a swimming pool with adjacent summer kitchen.Entrance to the cottage is, as many of the traditional cottages in the area, upstairs into a hall way leading into a sitting/ dining area and a well equipped kitchen. The sitting area has a comfortable sofa, chair and an impressive fireplace with wood burner. There is English Sky (Freesat) and French TV. WiFi is available at the house but neither Kingfisher or the owner are liable for any loss or interruption (such as storms etc.) of internet service.
The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge ,coffee maker, toaster and kettle. There is a laundry room downstairs with washing machine.
The 2 bedrooms are fresh, light and compact, each bedroom has a double bed, with its own en-suite shower room with shower, basin and WC.
Outside from the kitchen door, stairs lead down to a large terrace area, with garden furniture. This terrace overlooks the swimming pool area which has a 10m x 5m heated pool (additional heating charge in the mid-season) with integral corner steps. The lovely surrounding pool side kitchen is equipped with a Plancha (hot plate BBQ).
Should you feel the need to be more energetic there is table tennis and tennis courts in the village.
