…15th Century;(the bells are no longer in use). The property was originally where the priest lived. Now the home has been lovingly renovated, retaining some beautiful features of the past like the old brick cave ceilings in the hall ways and the large old flagstone steps. In one of the bedrooms there still are some parts of old wall paintings.
The property is situated between the two small towns of Cazes Mondenard, with a boulangerie, chemist and tennis courts and the pretty town of Castelnau Montratier, which has small local shops, some cafes/restaurants and a weekly market. For those looking for sightseeing and places of interest the property is within easy reach of the medieval towns of Lauzerte, one of the Bastile villages, Moissac, situated on the river Tarn and Montauban, the departments principal town , where you can discover ancient ruins to 20th-century architecture.
The accommodation is now equipped with all the modern comforts. The large kitchen/dining has an original fireplace and large table. The kitchen area is well equipped with a Falcon range cooker, gas top and an electric oven. There is a dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, microwave and pantry.
The large hallway leads to the sitting room with comfy sofas, (International) TV, DVD player. There is Wi-Fi available at the house but neither Kingfisher nor the owner is liable for any loss or interruption. French doors open out to the terrace facing the swimming pool.
A large stone stair case leads up to a separate WC and then continues upstairs to another large hall way which gives access to 4 bedrooms to sleep a maximum of 6 Adults/ 2 children. There is a magnificent bathroom with freestanding bath and behind it a very large walk through shower. There is a basin and WC. From the bathroom is a utility cupboard with washing machine.
Bedroom 1, is a large, light airy room with a double bed (160 cm) and wooden wardrobe. Bedroom 2, has a large double bed (or can be twin beds), Bedroom 3, has two small single beds. Bedroom 4 has a double bed and what appears to be a cupboard door opens in to a wonderful wet room with shower, basin and WC. Linen is included. There are 2 baby cots, for which linen is not included. We regret that pets cannot be accommodated at this property.
Outside the pretty gardens surround the house on two sides. There is a large terrace area with BBQ overlooking the 7.5m x 4m swimming pool, with integral steps. There is a large grassed area for badminton. There is parking in the barn carport and on the village square. Behind the garden are fields and all around the area is perfect for walking.

I stayed at this lovely historic property in early September 2019 and would recommend it highly. The property is very spacious, cool in hot weather , and very well-equipped. It sits in beautiful grounds, quiet and private, but is located within comfortable reach of shops and amenities. There are plenty of sights to see within easy reach, but the property is so comfortable you may find the days slipping past as you enjoy the pool and the gardens. Mr V,N. London
We enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing family holiday with friends in the south of France at a truly stunning property (Le Presbytere , Cazes Mondanard). Situated in a remote location the property has been tastefully and sympathetically converted to retain original features. It has been fitted out with lovely furniture and bedrooms and the old stone walls and floors to keep the property wonderfully cool in the hot weather. The owners have clearly thought about families staying as all of the facilities and household items you would expect were provided and of high standard. We thoroughly enjoyed dining outside on the patio every evening and made full use of the garden and pool with the children. We would definitely stay again. Mr R,W. Hurstpierpoint
What a great place to stay if you are looking for a quiet place to unwind in the French countryside, especially if you enjoy cooking and dining in, al fresco. The house was spacious, beautifully restored and furnished, and had a particular good kitchen.
The pool, grounds and outdoor BBQ and dining terrace were all well maintained and equipped. The bigger supermarkets 15- 20 minutes away had good selections of food and wine.
Highly recommended. B & G Netherlands
We had the most amazing holiday at La Presbytere in Tissac. What a wonderful spot in an idyllic part of France. The owners have clearly put in an enormous amount of time and effort and thought to this spectacular property; from the bedrooms to the kitchen to the landscaping of the garden and the pool they have made a unique old property into a very comfortable holiday house. We will certainly be recommending this place and Kingfisher Holidays to others. G & L (London)
We had an amazing time in Tissac and would definitely look at returning again one day, maybe even next year! The house was even better than we expected, which makes a pleasant change. Mrs L.H, Mulhull.
