… At the nearby market town of Montaigu de Quercy has a wonderful leisure lake, with facilities for swimming, pedaloes, ball games and tennis. For refreshment there is a bar/restaurant and a café overlooking the lake. The nearby village of Touffailles also has public tennis courts and boulangerie.

The area has many interesting places to explore such as the medieval Bastide village of Laurzerte, with shops, restaurants, a weekly market and music fêtes throughout the season. Twenty minutes away is the town of Moissac, which was a Roman settlement and still boasts some fine examples of Romanesque art. The main attraction is the Abbey of Saint Pierre, whose cloister and portal are classified as World Heritage Sites.

There are two main properties used for holidays, La Grange and the smaller Le Cottage. They can be rented together or some of the bedrooms from Le Cottage (which can open towards La Grange also) can increase the space for a large group. La Grange is a great location for a large family holidays – sleeping up to 22 people (max 20 adults) – also two cots available for the under 2s. They offer between 6 and 10 (using the cottage) en-suite bedrooms – some ideal for families.

The thing that sets La Grange apart is that, whatever the weather (and don’t tell anyone but it does sometimes rain in France), we genuinely have the indoor space for you all to relax and eat all-together! Our outdoor seating options allow for cosy ‘dinner for 2’ or a ‘banquet for 22+’.  The indoor living space includes a huge salon and dining space – great for keeping cool in the hotter months or for a great family space during cooler months. At one end there is a very popular snooker table, there’s also a dart board, library, dvd library, Satellite (Freesat) TV games and blue tooth music system, Wi-Fi  is available at the property but neither Kingfisher or the owner are liable for any loss or interruption ( such as storms etc) of internet service.
Off the living area there is a well-equipped kitchen, with two ovens, a gas hob, fridges, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine, microwave, high-chair.
Just outside there is a wonderful covered terrace, which provides a shady spot for al-fresco dining. Then just around the corner on the large terrace overlooking the pool, there’s a further large table for dining and close by there are a couple of BBQs.
In the garden you will find a table tennis table, a badminton net, swing-ball, a large chess set on a terrace, giant jenga and 4 bikes for the energetic to borrow.
Amongst all of this there are plenty of quiet places to get away from it all and sit and read.

Then on the lower terrace there is the 12 x 5m, salt-water, heated pool, as well as sun loungers to ensure relaxation. The pool terrace is secured by a gate so that small children cannot take themselves swimming.
When 10 bedrooms are booked so that Le Cottage is combined with La Grange – then you can also enjoy the little woodland garden at Le Cottage – which has two very comfy hammocks for shady snoozing.

In front of the bedrooms there is a large shady terrace/balcony.
