situated on the edge of the river Lot, within a short drive to the Medieval town of Penne d Agenais. The chateau built in the 13th century still retains many of the features such as the wonderful stone spiral staircase, beautiful wall tapestries, open fireplaces, old stone ‘evier’ sinks and the original moat. Although it is steeped in history the château has been renovated using elegant, beautiful, comfortable furnishings. The large surrounding 40 acres of woodland and gardens are a delight and face out overlooking the riverside.
The entrance drive passes through the original gate house to reveal the grand chateaux.
Entrance into the chateau’s accommodation is from the large oak door which opens in to a hallway with a magnificent staircase. The accommodation is arranged into 3 suites, to sleep 14/17.
The cinema room, dining room and kitchen all have French doors out to the veranda/ terrace overlooking the river. Here there are is a long table and seating for the most amazing river side dining or sitting by the fire pit for evening drinks.

Ground floor Suite bedrooms-
There are two large bedrooms- bedroom 1 has 2 double cast iron beds with en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a bath, walk in shower, basin, WC and a Juliet balcony
Connecting to this bedroom is bedroom 2, this bedroom has a seating area, a basin and a raised level up to twin beds.
From the left-hand side of the stair case is a large dining /banquet room/sitting room with a magnificent fireplace and the largest of the old stone sinks. From here there is hall way into a small kitchen area and a shower room, with shower, basin and WC.
First floor Suites-
The master suite – is a magnificent room with a large fireplace and period furniture and a king-size bed. En-suite with walk in shower, basin and WC.
Ladies and writers Suite- This bedroom is connected from the master suite or from a separate entrance from the writer’s room. The lady’s bedroom has cast iron bed, fireplace and beautiful furniture. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, basin and WC. From this bedroom opens into the ladies writing room which has an extra bed if required.
Riverside suite, which has a double bed and an en- suite shower room, with double basin, walk in shower and WC.
Upper Suite This suite has another wonderful sitting/ TV room, a bedroom with 2 double beds and an en suite shower room, shower, basin and WC.
Guardian Suite From the stone staircase the upstairs level opens into a huge room with gym equipment. This then continues into the self-contained suite which has a sitting room with kitchenette, a small dining room and a bath room, with bath, basin and WC. There are 2 bedrooms, 1 double bedroom and 1 single bedroom.
The beautiful grounds are very peaceful with various trees, hedges, walk ways and river side tracks. Some of the garden has been kept natural and other parts are well manicured and even a small waterfall into the river. The large 12m x 6m pool is heated, with integral steps and fountain sprays. There is a large surrounding terrace with pool furniture.
This is the ideal place for a unique holiday experience, a special celebration or the perfect wedding venue.
