Cap del Bosc makes an ideal base for exploring some of the old medieval Bastide villages and towns nearby, such as Pujols, Penne d’Agenais and the larger town of Villenueve-sur-Lot, which is only about 10 minutes drive away; founded in 1264 and standing on the banks of the river Lot, there is much to see in this attractive town, with its many narrow streets, half-timbered buildings and colourful twice weekly markets in the central square
The entrance into this largely open-plan property leads to a dining area, off which is a breakfast bar and well-equipped kitchen, with electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is a washing machine and an additional fridge/freezer in the utility room, which is adjacent to the ground floor bathroom with bath, basin, shower and separate WC.
Small steps lead from the dining area to a comfortable sitting room with feature open fireplace, flat screen TV Satellite (Freesat), plus a DVD player and iPod dock.
There are two bedrooms downstairs, both of which have double beds. Wooden stairs lead from the kitchen to the mezzanine floor and into bedroom three which has a double and single bed. There is a low beam from the mezzanine entering into the third bedroom which is in the eaves and therefore has restricted head height in parts of the room. The mezzanine area has additional seating and a small TV for watching DVD’s, a CD player, plus a selection of games and lots of books for holiday reading.
On the ground floor is a large bathroom, with bath, large shower, basin and towel rail. There is a separate WC. Linen, towels and swimming pool towels are included.
There is no telephone so please bring your mobiles.
On either side of the property are sunny terraces, ideal for use with the BBQ, plus a covered terrace for eating out and relaxing in the shade. For the energetic, there is table tennis, badminton and boules.
The kidney shaped pool with integral steps is ideal for children and adults alike, as it has a shallow area around the edge, with deeper water in the middle.
A travel cot and high chair is available if required. All linen, towels and swimming towels are included.
Set within five acres of lawn, woodland and wild areas, this property is ideal for those seeking peace and tranquillity and yet within easy reach of many of the attractions of the beautiful Lot Valley.
