Are holiday concerts in South West France music to your ears?

Summertime is a great time for music in South West France. From rock to classical, from jazz to French traditional, there are concerts for all tastes in the villages and towns near your Kingfisher holiday rental. Have a night out to enjoy the musical diversity and informality of a local concert, cabaret or musical walk.

It’s easiest of all to find music at night markets. Beauville is well known for good popular genres, like rock and country. Other markets feature rock, Europop or stick close to the traditional French music that the French themselves love for parties. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself joining in a chorus of Champs Elysees even though you’re hundreds of miles away from Paris and you’ve never heard the song in your life. It’s infectious.

Anyway, let’s get right down to our Kingfisher summer 2018 quick guide to some of the concerts in the area for the rest of July and all of August.

Festivals and Special Events

Tradigordines at Lalinde – 26-28 July

The name Josephine Baker might ring a bell. She was a famous American entertainer who lived much of her life in France. The Chateau at Lalinde on the Dordogne River was her home. It’s a great place to visit on its own, but it is also home to the Tradigordine music festival from 26th to 28th of July. More information from the festival website.
