Our self catering holiday accommodation is suitable for all age groups and is enjoyed by couples, families and large parties. Self catering is ideal for those wanting a relaxed and varied holiday, as you can choose how you get here, what you do and where and when you eat. You can also select the right kind of accommodation to comfortably suit your party's needs.

Self catering holidays offer a chance to sample the gentle way of French life. It is a pleasure to buy food from the local village shops and there is a village or small town within a short drive of all of our properties. In most villages you will find a bakers, butchers, chemist, post office and small supermarket. For a larger selection of produce there are some excellent hypermarkets such as Leclerc, Auchan and Carrefour at the towns of Cahors, Villeneuve sur Lot, Fumel and Agen. The cost of groceries here is similar to the UK for many things, but cheaper for bread, fruit and wine. Eating out at the restaurants is very much more reasonable than in England.

In each of the properties there is information to the nearest shops and opening times. It is important to remember though that many are still closed for lunch and limited shops are open on Sunday morning and all shut on Sunday afternoon.

There are many local markets held throughout the region offering a fabulous array of fresh seasonal produce. The French weekly markets are still an important way of life and tradition here and you can even sample the produce before buying. We highly recommend a visit to a local market and suggest buying French bread, cheese, wine, ham and olives for a rustic feast/picnic a la campagne!

There is no better place than France for food-lovers and self-catering accommodation holidays offer the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the pleasure of eating out French Style; perhaps sampling the local cassoulet, washed down with a glass or two of Cahors and on other occasions prepare a relaxed dinner at home. All properties come with facilities for eating al-fresco – including barbecues and outside furniture allowing you to enjoy the warm summer evenings, gardens and pool and savour delicious home-made food made from the finest local ingredients.

Due to the location we are spoilt for many types of local produce including duck, cheeses, honey & jams, a variety of fruits and delicious wines. Wine can be bought from the local vineyards, which also offer wine-tasting and a chance to learn about the history and wine making processes.
