Our holiday properties are located in the Lot Valley which is just above Aquitaine in South West France. Whilst still benefiting from the South of France climate, it's location offers a number of benefits in comparison to more well-known South-France holiday destinations such as Nice, Marseille and St Tropez. The area is a popular holiday destination because it is a lovely peaceful area. With a calm ambience, you can relax by the swimming pool in warm sunshine, dine under the stars, enjoy the famous local wines and visit typically French tree covered cafés and restaurants. It is the perfect place to unwind. With its warm climate, friendly people and relaxed way of life, you can enjoy your stay to the full in idyllic countryside. Compared to other holiday destinations it is easily accessible by car, plane, ferry and train. The Climate is warm and sunny, with long evenings and a wonderful choice of things to do and see for all the family, from shopping, tours, many sporting activities without all the busy crowds of lots of other destinations. Although the Lot Valley it is not on the coast, there are many wonderful leisure lakes offering safe sandy beaches and water sports making it ideal for families. The area has a very varied landscape with different interesting towns and villages and an abundance of local history. The restaurants and cafes are less expensive and crowded than the more touristy areas. This beautiful area of southern France is a land of yesteryear in its peacefulness. It offers quiet roads, tranquillity and safety, along with plenty to do. You will find top quality restaurants, open air cafes, excellent medical facilities, traditional markets and, increasingly, comfortable holiday homes. The principal cities are Toulouse, the so called Pink City after its unusual reddish stone buildings and Bordeaux, a beautiful City with excellent shopping, is the regional capital on the left bank of the River Garonne near the Atlantic coast.
