A charming old stone farmhouse set in 10 private hectares of rolling pasture and woodland, ideal for walks, bike rides or just enjoying the space, peace and quiet.The house is full of character and well furnished. Les Places comprises the main house, sleeping 10, and the annex, which has its own entrance and which sleeps 4.The main living room has at one end a large , well equiped kitchen with Dishwasher,gas oven and hob, microwave etc. The other end of this is a Breakfast/ Dinning area and a large fireplace. There is also a very large dinning room leading from the kitchen ,which overlooks the wonderful garden and pool. In one corner of this room is a shower room with WC and hand basin, ideal to come in from the terrace outside. Leading from the dining room are Oak stairs to a large double bedroom ( Kingsize bed), and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds and another shower room with WC and hand basin. Off the kitchen is the sitting room, ideal for a quiet read or watching TV (French & English) or a video. On the same floor is the main bedroom with double bed. An old oak staircase leads up to two bedroom each with twin beds, and a shower room with basin & WC. Stairs lead down from the dining area to a Greek shower room with WC and an original stone basin. The washing machine is also in this room.

The covered east facing veranda is ideal for enjoying meals or drinks around the table midi et soir!  The Annex has a large entrance hall/dining area with a sitting room to the left and kitchen and bathroom to the right. Upstairs are two spacious bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. The horizonless pool is very much in harmony with its surroundings and measures 10m x 5m x 1.5m deep and has stone steps leading down into the water. On one side of the pool the water overflows towards a field of lavender. Sunbeds are provided.  BBQ, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, a boules area and a darts board are available for tenants' use. There is a weekly clean includedLes Places is 3.5kms from Serignac where there is a tennis court, basket ball and a boules court. There is an epicerie/boulangerie where almost everything is available including bread and croissants - a mere bicycle ride away. One kilometre away is a good riding establishment with friendly atmosphere and horses for hire. Canoeing and bicycle hire are 10 mins away as is a vast selection of winemakers providing the famous black wine of Cahors, in bottles or en vrac (some are now experimenting with white wine).  Les Places offers accommodation for up to 14 people during July & August.
