This is a comfortable, friendly and spacious house set in about 3 1/2 acres with rolling farmland beyond and with far reaching views of the Bastide town of Monflanquin. An attractive arcaded Bastide town, Monflanquin was founded in 1256 and has an interesting history.passing from English to French rule in the Hundred Year's War. In the summer there are Medieval festivitals with people dressed in costume. The pretty town has many 13th-15th century buildings and timber-framed facades and offers shopping, doctors, bank, petrol station and bike hire. There is a market on Thursday mornings and there are some excellent restaurants.
Hall, A large sitting room with English satellite TV,video recorder and DVD. There is also a portable radio/tape and CD player. West facing terrace and dining room. The well equipped Kitchen has a dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine.
Bedroom (1), on ground floor - 5ft bed, interconnecting with study and with Bathroom (1) - bath with shower attachment, basin & WC.
Upstairs, Bedroom (2) - 4ft 6 twin beds with adjoining shower, bidet, basin & WC. Bedroom (3) - 3ft twin beds, adjoining bathroom with bath and shower attachment, two basins & WC. Bedroom (4) - twin beds 
with adjoining bath and shower attachment, basin & WC.
Linen is for Hire. Telephone, fans for bedrooms and a hairdryer.
There is a 12m x 6m pool with Roman end set in an old stone walled area with grass surrounds with wooden steamer chairs and deck chairs. Roofed terrace, fridge by the pool area, Barbecue and ping pong. The garden affords plenty of space for ball games.

Just to let you know that we had a lovely three weeks at Comte. We loved the house and the space, the views and the pool, and everything really!
It was also good being close to Monflanquin because it has a couple of really good places to eat

We had an amazing time at the Comte.
We loved the house – it was perfect for our family (we left a few tips in the owners suggestion book – all very minor)
It was furnished with love, looked after well and really met our expectations
