La Clavelaires is situated near the small Bastide town of Tournon d' Agenais where there are two good restaurants, a small supermarket, bank, post office, baker and butcher., also a is a Friday evening market in Tournon during July and August.

The medieval bastide towns were fortified and usually built on hilltops, some by the English and some French. Most of these towns are well preserved and many have good restaurants. Penne d'Agenais, Monflanquin, Villereal and Villeneuve-sur-Lot..which are also bastides towns are close by.

This is an old Quercy house, and is entered by stone steps leading up to the beamed sitting room and dining room. The sitting room has a open fireplace and comfortable sofas and a satellite TV, a DVD and a CD player. In the dining area there is a large wooden table and chairs. The well equipped kitchen has a cooker with gas hob and an electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. On this floor is bedroom (1) with double bed and en suite shower room with shower, hand basin and WC.

Downstairs, Bedroom (2) with a double bed and French doors out to the courtyard, Bedroom (3) with a double bed and a single bed. There is a large bathroom with bath, hand basin and WC. and a utility room with a washing machine and double sink.

Linen is for hire. Central heating and telephone.

A door leads from the kitchen, at the back of the house, out to a terrace with BBQ and the swimming pool area. The pool is 11m x 5m with Roman steps. The pretty & large garden has an area for ball games and there is a wood that belongs to the house.
