Sentourens is an old attractive Quercy stone house which has recently undergone extensive restoration. The external photographs belie the size of the reception rooms, which are large with high ceilings. The property is in an elevated position with wonderful long views of the beautiful countryside and it affords complete peace and tranquillity whilst also providing a spacious and charming holiday house.
The main entrance leads into the hall where there is a ping pong table. There are stairs from here up to a second floor but these rooms are not yet in use. There is also a door out to a small terrace overlooking the garden and pool. Please be aware this terrace has no fence and there is a drop to the gardenso take great care if you use this .
The kitchen is reached either through the dining room or by an outside door. It is a large kitchen equipped with a good size table, dishwasher, American fridge, gas hob, electric oven and warming ovens. Next door to the kitchen is a WC with basin and a washing machine room. In the lobby by the back door is a freezer. A door from the sitting room leads to the master bedroom with double bed and an ensuite shower room with basin and WC. A second double bedroom with twin beds has an ensuite shower room with basin and WC. In the same corridor is a separate WC. Another door leads from the sitting room to a double bedroom with double bed and an ensuite shower room with basin. From the hall steps lead down to a sitting room where there is a television (French) . Next door to this room is a WC and basin and also a bedroom with twin beds, and has a glass door leading to the garden and pool area. There is a further bedroom with double bed and an ensuite shower room with basin and WC. This is situated in a separate wing approached by an outside door from the front courtyard. The garden of about 1 hectare is grassed but not landscaped or fenced as yet but there is a large space for games. There is a very small, quiet road, which leads only to one other house some way away, beside part of the garden so children should be aware of this. The pool is sun drenched nearly all day and has open and covered terraces. There is a large Jacussi bath under the covered terrace. In addition there is a BBQ and a shower room with basin and WC. There are remains of ancient barn walls around the pool. Nevertheless these walls provide an ‘invitation’ to be climbed and tenants must ensure that no members of the party do so as this could be dangerous and neither Kingfisher Holidays nor the owner will accept any responsibility for accidents. Changeover day is Saturday. Linen is included but pool towels are not supplied. There is a telephone for local calls but it is advisable to bring mobile phones.
