Set in the Aveyron department in South west France is this delightful traditional stone "Aveyronaisse" style cottage, set on the side of a secluded, valley in seven acres of woodland in both peace and tranquillity but it is only 5 kilometres from the amenities of the nearest village. The cottage is on a quiet lane between the communes of Sanvensa and Floriac in area of outstanding beauty deep in the rural heart of the Aveyron. It is situated between the beautiful Viaur and Aveyron rivers and is a five minute drive from the market town of Villefranche de Rouergue and the very beautiful village of Najac.

The pretty, blue shuttered cottage has been lovingly renovated and provides cosy family gite accommodation for up to 6 people in 3 Bedrooms. Surrounded by lawns and patio areas. Pathways meander up to the top terraces through oak, chestnut trees and wildflowers, whilst stone steps lead down to the lower terrace and the 8 m x 4 m swimming pool.

The house has been fully restored with traditional exposed oak beams and stone walls. The accommodation provides a spacious lounge, with cast iron log burner. There is a TV to watch DVD's , inc.selection of dvd's. X Box console & games, a dinning area & kitchen, with fridge freezer & small cooker. This leads out on to the oak Aveyron style balcony. The house has three floors. The top floor has two double bedrooms with two single beds in each. The ground floor comprising of a double bedroom with king-size bed and patio doors leading out on to the terrace for the ideal breakfast setting and a terracotta tiled shower room with shower and washing machine.The thick stone walls and double glazed windows ensure that the house provides a welcoming cool place in the heat of summer and heats up well when a bit chillier. As well as the log burner each room has its own storage heaters.

There is no telephone at the property so please bring your mobiles. Linen is provided.The people who look after the house are English speaking and live nearby to provide any assistance and advice if required.

If the local outdoor activities are not enough in half an hour you can drive to Cap Decouverte, a hugh converted open cast mine which provides the biggest skate park in France, Europe's largest dry-ski slope, go-karts, summer luge, zip line, open air velodrome, swimming pool, water-skiing, live music and much more. Also worth a visit is the beautiful, cosmopolitan city of Toulouse approximately 1 ½ hours away or the historical Albi, birthplace of Toulouse L'Autrec.

For those seeking more leisurely activities the nearby town of Villefranche de Rouergue and villages of Najac, Cordes sur ciel, Figeac and Saint Antonin host colourful markets. Including the Sunday morning market at St Antonin Noble Val. There are a variety of fetes throughout the summer. Each place provide delicious local cuisine in their many restaurants and cafes.
