Laxery is a family house with 5 bedrooms and 2 bath/shower rooms and a 13 x 6 metre swimming pool in the heart of the Serres region near Puymirol 15 minutes to the north of the town of Agen. Puymirol is a Bastide town founded in 1246, is perched at more than 150 m over the Séoune river. Here there are shops and some good restaurants, tennis courts and a leisure lake( fishing allowed with a daily permit). Nearby Agen is famous for its delicious prunes and fruit. It has a fascinating old quarter and has developed into a sprawling town with a large edge of town shopping store area.
On the ground floor is the sitting room with a wood burning fireplace (in addition to under floor heating), French TV and Hi-Fi system. The dining area, which has a large dining table able to seat 12 people on bench seating, is separated from the kitchen by a large bar and stools.
Stairs lead up to the the mezzanine which provides a space to relax with a sofa, a sofa bed and French TV & DVD. Upstairs are 2 further bedrooms with twin beds and a shower room with basin and WC. A second cot is also available on this floor.
The house is situated on a plateau with views across the open countryside. In the garden there is a shaded area under the tress, an area with some children’s swings. The 13m x 6m swimming pool has wide integral steps across the width of the pool. The pool is the same depth of 1.45 throughout. Bed linen can be hired but there are no towels. Please bring your mobile phones with you.
