This recently renovated stone property lies just 6 kms from Montaigu de Quercy in the Tarn et Garonne department, part of the Midi Pyrenees, in SW France; a small town offering plenty of facilities, yet with a very rural feel. The Saturday morning market is a very lively affair with colourful fresh fruit, vegetables, plants and a cheese wagon that confuses you with choice. For Eating Out the town boasts a restaurant, pizzeria and a Moroccan bistro and for shopping there is the bakers, tabac (newspapers, books and gifts) an excellent butchers, Post Office, two dress shops, beauticians and small supermarket, baby and children’s wear shop and several artisan outlets. There is a doctors, dentist and a pharmacy. For children and the young at heart Montaigu has a large lake with man-made beaches, water slide, pedaloes, brasserie and picnic tables. Montaigu also has a very helpful tourist office.
The property is set in tranquil countryside, offering 4 bedrooms to sleep up to 8 people. Approached by a short drive shared with the French owner, who lives next door, this attractive house has a large airy L-shaped lounge/dinner/kitchen with French doors opening onto a terrace with modern outside table and seating.

All bedrooms and the landing benefit from Velux windows and a TV (French) One bedroom has a DVD. There is air conditioning throughout. Outside the dining area is the terrace and garden with a mix of borders, trees and shrubs which can be enjoyed sitting on the terrace. To the other side of the house is another terrace with garden furniture leading to the gated, enclosed, 10m x5 m swimming pool. The pool has integral steps, a surround of paving slabs with sun beds and a colourful flower border It is a real sun trap giving lovely rural views. Clients have sole use of the pool, terraces and garden whenever they wish.
The whole region is a delight to explore with many ‘Bastide’ towns (medieval, fortified with a central arcaded square) This is the heart of fruit growing country, vineyards and fields of sunflowers, excellent walking and cycling terrain. Horse riding and canoeing are nearby as are many restaurants within a short drive.
