La Tuque is a charming property which sleeps 6 people, situated about 3kms from the popular, lively village of Moncuq. The village has a popular Sunday morning market, restaurants, tennis courts, several local shops and a leisure lake nearby. Montcuq was a former mediaeval stronghold, with it's castle tower dominating over the village. Occupied by English armies in the 100 years war, it is ideally placed for exploring the area’s other picturesque villages and medieval bastide towns, the beautiful chateaux and the Cahors vineyards

The property is set down a small rural lane, with its own private garden, swimming pool and views. The accommodation has 3/4 bedrooms, and 2 WCs sleeping up to 6/8 people and retains many of its lovely original features.

The entrance has an open terrace area with outside table & chairs and a BBQ.
The front door leads into a dining area, with open fire place, table and chairs. The adjoining sitting room has comfortable seating with views out to the pool area. There is Satellite TV and DVD player. The kitchen, though small is well equipped with a electric cooker, microwave, a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle and there is a filter coffee machine (guests will need to take some filter papers) and there are two cafeterias . Also on this level is a bedroom with double bed and a shower room with WC. In addition there is a laundry room with a washing machine and a drying area.

 

Leading up from the open exposed stairs, is a landing area, leading to 2 bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds ( the top bunk is very high) alongside is the bathroom with a bath and shower attachment, basin and WC. Bedroom 3 has a 5ft bed. There is an additional bedroom (up some fairly steep stairs) into the loft area which has a 5ft bed.
Linen is included, but please bring your own swimming pool towels. There is no phone so please bring your mobiles.

Outside there is a lovely (salt) 10m x 5m swimming pool, which can be heated on request at an extra charge. The garden has views over the surrounding countryside.
