The House

The front door on the south side, leads into a free standing and partly fitted Kitchen/Dining room (24’ x 21 at widest). There are French doors from the kitchen onto a lovely covered terrace (30’ x 7’) with steps to the front and BBQ area.

   

A short corridor leads to stairs down to the large split level Sitting room (25’ x 19’ on the main level with a further area (16’ x 13’) from which are doors to the BBQ terrace.

The main Sitting room has an open fireplace, beams, painted stone walls and an arched door to the Swimming Pool terrace (24’ x 10’). There are stairs in one corner up to the Summer room.

  

Off the lower Sitting room area is access to a useful storage room with double sink, a Shower room (10’ x 10’) with Basin & WC, and one of the Studies ((18’ x 6’) overlooking the BBQ terrace. A further door leads from the end of this Study into a lobby with a door to the BBQ terrace, a second Study (10’ x 6’) and the two Cellars. The cellars have low ceilings – one (12’ x 12’) houses the central heating boiler and oil storage tank and the other (15’ x 12’) houses the hot water boiler and is plumbed for a washing machine.

  Off the corridor between the Kitchen and the Sitting room is a Bathroom (11’ x 7’) with Bath, Basin and Bidet. Opposite is a separate WC with basin.
Off the Kitchen is Bedroom 1 (16’ x 14’), which has beams, a corner fireplace and access to the Summer room.

The Summer room ((24’ x 10’) runs along the back of the house and has many windows in addition to 2 doors to a pretty vine covered terrace. There is a door from the Summer room down into the main Sitting room as well as a door into
Bedroom 2 (14’ x 10’), which overlooks the swimming pool. Bedroom 3 (16’ x 13’), which has exposed stone walls, is also off the Kitchen and has a small fireplace with woodburning stove.
 

There is a door to a small lobby from the Kitchen to the stairs up to two further bedrooms and a Bathroom. This upstairs area has, in parts, low ceilings and access ideal for children. Nevertheless once inside the rooms there is reasonable head height for adults in the centres of the rooms. There is a Landing (12’ x 9’) with velux roof window. Bedroom 4 (15’ x 11’) has a low door but good head room inside. It has two velux roof windows and beams.

Bedroom 5 (15’ x 13’), again with two velux roof windows, has the same low door and more restricted head room. The Bathroom (8’ x 8’) has a Bath, Basin & WC and a velux window – it has good head height except where the roof slopes down on one side. There is also an excellent suitcase storage room (12’ x 9’)
