The House
A path leads from the parking area and garage to the front of the house. The
main entrance is off a large covered terrace (19’ x 11’) into the Dining
Hall.
There are also lovely old Quercy stone steps up to a (Bolet – typical
of the region) small terrace leading into the main Bedroom.
The terrace is a
spacious area for outside eating/BBQ with a high roof offering good shade.Double French doors lead into the Dining Hall (19’ x 16’), which has a high
ceiling into the roof and is beamed.
There is access to the Kitchen, Sitting
room, a downstairs Bedroom and stairs to the upper floor. To the right,
through an old thick stone wall, is the fully equipped and fitted Kitchen
(22’ x 11’). The Kitchen has a full range of fitted units, a small breakfast
bar, cosy low ceiling, basin, double oven and a lovely view over the garden
and swimming pool. An old arched space has been incorporated into the
Kitchen with a window overlooking the front terrace/garden area.
Also off the Dining Hall is a door into the superb Sitting room (22’ x 16’),
which was created out of half of an old attached Barn. There is a
woodburning stove and windows to the east and west as well as access to the
separate apartment. On the west side is a large window with doors out to the
Garage/Workshop and parking areas. This room has a ceiling high into the
roof and old beams.
The downstairs bedroom (13’ x 10’), which has views over the garden and pool
area, is reached along a corridor from the Dining Hall off which is a Shower
room with Bidet and Basin, separate WC and a Linen Cupboard.
Open wood stairs lead up to a mezzanine Landing at one end of which is a
small open Study area (9’ x 7’) overlooking the Dining Hall. The Landing
leads into Bedroom 3 (or Dressing Room) (13’ x 10’), which has one wall of
fitted cupboards including a second airing cupboard. This room leads into
the main Bedroom and a Bathroom.
The main Bedroom (22’ x 10’) has east and
south views. The original front door leads out to the Bolet and stone stairs
to the entrance Auvent. Above this Bedroom is a spacious Attic (22’ x 19’)
with good head height in the centre reached by a sliding ladder. The
Bathroom (13’ x 7’) has a corner bath, WC and Basin.
Off the Sitting room is the separate apartment, which has a separate access
to a terrace and a parking area beside the drive. There is a large
Sitting/Dining/Kitchen room (20’ x 11’) with a high ceiling into the roof.
Large sliding doors lead out to a large terrace overlooking surrounding
farmland. There is a Shower room with WC and Basin. The 4th Bedroom (16’ x
10’) also has glass doors onto a side terrace and a built-in cupboard.
